Vedanta

The scriptures are so bright that we cannot see them, like the sun, and Vedanta is the lens that allows us to study, and ultimately understand, that sun.

The words of saints and many scriptures are sometimes too difficult to be understood clearly as they often tackle very high concepts, and the explanations chosen also vary depending on who the teachings are directed to, the tradition of the saint, and even the mood he is in. Sometimes even one saint appears to contradict himself, never mind ones of different traditions. What is necessary is an understanding of the higher generalisations, and that is something that the non-dualistic Vedanta philosophy gives us.
